Picture: I took a picture of my own book, and placed it next to Brian Tracy’s picture.;)

I recently read Brian Tracy’s latest book, “GOALS! How to Get Everything You Want – Faster Than You Ever Thought Possible”. It’s actually my first book I read of Brian Tracy and I love it! Brian Tracy is the author of 50 books and has more then 500 audio and video programs in his name. The first edition of “Goals!” was published in 2003 and thousands of copies were sold. There are 3 new chapters added in the new reviewed 2nd edition. Brian Tracy started with a job as a dishwasher when he left high school without graduating and now belongs to the group of top management consultants, trainers and speakers in the world, having used the methods explained in this book. I think that this book is a stair to a successful life and it’s far more worth the money you need to buy this book. If you order your book from my blog, I’ll receive a small commission for it.

In this book, Brian Tracy first goes in on the bottle-necks that could be responsible for not accomplishing your goals. One of the points I can identify with is ‘the fear of rejection’. In my case it’s so that if I tell people beforehand that I’m going to do something new, I never do it or I do it with lots of difficulties, while if I don’t tell people that I’ll start with something new beforehand, I actually do accomplish that goal. I was asking myself why that’s so. Brian Tracy explains in his book that it could be the fear of failure, criticism and envy. Hmmm…maybe he’s right.

This book goes in on aspects for a happy (family) life, a successful career, and good health. Brian Tracy explains how you can accomplish all your goals on these aspects with his 12-steps plan. This book definitely brought more discipline in my life. In my case I would spread my energy over all my goals without planning; I would hardly accomplish those goals, because of the lack of clear focus and concentration.

Time slips through our hands like grains and sand never to return again. Those who use time wisely are rewarded with rich, productive and satisfying lives. – Robin Sharma

Brian Tracy also states in his book that hard work is inevitable if you want to achieve your goals, and that you shouldn’t be having unrealistic goals, otherwise you’ll be disheartened. You will get the guidance from this book on how to divide your realistic goals in sub goals and how to make your timetable to finally reach your dreams. Writing down everything concerning your goals is the basic step in achieving your goals. There are a lot of questions in this book, of which you will extensively have to write down the answers. This way you will have clear ideas of what you really want. This enables you to make a better planning in achieving your goals. I’m still analyzing and working on my goals table. I’m sure that I’ll soon have my clear written goals table step by step for many years to come. You should really write down everything, because there were important things that came to mind later on, and on which I also need to work on or calculate together in my goals table.

A journey of a thousand mile begins with a single step.

Old saying: “By the yard it’s hard; but inch by inch, anything’s a cinch”.

For all the single people out there, there’s an exercise in this book which sets up a force field of energy in the universe that begins to attract your perfect soul mate in your life. Countless people have claimed to Brian Tracy that this exercise had transformed their life; they’re very much in love and/or happily married.

If you are overweight and want to have a perfect and healthy weight, you should definitely read chapter 12, “Optimize Your Health and Wellness”. My weight doesn’t get above 42 kgs, even if I overeat, but I’m analyzing step by step how to maintain my health for many years to come. The message that you’ll find in this book is, “don’t wait till you get a heart attack before you start doing something on your health”. You can also find some weight-loss tips in this book.

I’m definitely glad that there are 3 new chapters in this book concerning family, health and finances; they’re very important topics in our lives. Saving money for funds is something Brian Tracy also recommends. I think that I should be organizing my finances in a better way; Brian Tracy gives you the helping advices on saving money for funds.

I love the structured lay-out of this book; it’s enjoyable and easy to read for everyone. In the end there are lots of quotes of very successful people concerning persistence, and there’s also a poem named “Don’t Quit”. All the quotes I’ve placed in this article are from Brian Tracy’s book.

The future belongs to the risk takers, not the security seekers. – Brian Tracy

This book will make a cool Christmas gift, if you still need to buy a Christmas present for a special person.;)

Best of luck accomplishing your great beautiful goals!
